Chiswick Personal Trainer Levi Smith writes:
Sport has been a part of my life ever since I could walk. Even at an yearly age I would get the most satisfaction from being physically active. Whether it was scoring a goal, being able to complete a full bodyweight pull up or even seeing the much desired changes in my physique.
Realising I could help others achieve their goals seemed too good to be true, so I began my journey to become a fitness professional. To begin with I completed a National Diploma in Sport, this gave me a great understanding of Sports Psychology, physiology, Sports Development, Sports massage and much more.
Following my diploma I decided I was ready to begin working within a gym environment. I became a Level 2 Fitness instructor and started a six months apprenticeship at Gold’s Gym.
Since then I have worked as a fitness instructor for 3 years in 2 different gyms.
I have been a Level 3 Personal trainer for 2 years, with my previous personal training role being with Virgin Active. In the past 2 years on a 1-2-1 basis I have helped people to change their lives, with goals ranging from building the endurance needed to climb Kilimanjaro, to helping others achieve full body transformations with my biggest success story helping someone drop 22 pounds in two months.
Seeing the satisfaction from my clients upon achieving their goals is why I continue to pursue my dream of being a personal trainer.
